For many people snow and mountains mean skiing or snowboarding over well prepared pistes where many mountain huts can be found with good food and Gluhwein which is always warm. If that's what you like the famous wintersport towns of Klosters and Davos with its large ski area are nearby waiting for you.
For those of you who prefer a bit more peace and quiet and like to plan a good tour on ski's or snow shoes the Rätikon area is the place to be. You can simply start at our front door for a wonderful day trip through a majestic winter landscape.
If you would like to learn how to ski or don't like the crowded slopes of Davos there are also a couple of smaller ski slopes close to our chalet, great for beginners or children and still a lot of fun for most others. And of course you can drift downhill by sledge too, there is even an eight kilometer long track specially prepared for this.
If you don't mind doing a bit of labour during your vacation building an igloo or snowcave might be a good thing to spent your energy on. It can be done in a day if the circumstances are good. The real die hard can spent the night in one too.
So whatever you want, however you want it, you can find it all around here.
